Can't Move Until It's Just Write

I hope I’m not the only one who experiences this during the writing process. Do you ever feel like a story is stuck because what you’re thinking is meant to go next isn’t quite right yet? I experience this more often with my writing projects than I actually complete a story. It’s frustrating. I have an idea of what I want to put there but it doesn’t seem to be exactly what should go there. Whether it is an event or a symbol, it has to be exactly what I see inside my mind. I don’t know if this is a perfectionist type of characteristic in my writing personality or what. It does get annoying when I want to continue with a story because I know where it is going, but I can’t because that one piece of information is important. I hope I’m not alone in this. If I am then I get to figure it out on my own. I doubt this is a personal fable though. I’d appreciate any advice if anyone has anything that they have used to help them push past this little enigma.

Until next time… Kara
