The Sweetest Getaway is about Nari and Jennifer - two roommates who have different outlooks on life. Jennifer is your typical "goodie two shoe", but with some persuasion from Nari she gives in and joins Nari on a heist that she thought would just be a one-time event. Nari would describe herself as an entreprenuer in the same way that Danny Ocean is an entreprenuer. The heist that they perform has high monetary value, social justice, and it just highlights some great female friendships.

I love a good heist - book or movie, doesn't matter. A fun heist just hits the right spots sometimes. Sasha approached me with this fun heist that she wrote that reminded me of Ocean's 8, but instead of jewels they steal a highly sought after sweetner.

There were a couple moments where I wasn't entirely following the motivations of the characters - primarily Jennifer. To me, it seemed like Jennifer was just trying to find her footing somewhere and waivered on whether or not she wanted to go down the path that Nari had been going down for years. While there is nothing wrong with weighing your decisions out, it did slow down the pacing to me. I would say overall it's a medium paced book - which sounds weird, but it has its fast moments and its slow moments; and they balance each other to medium.

Overall, I enjoyed this novel - it's got good heart and some fun moments that can be easily imagined on the screen. If anything above struck your fancy, then you should check out this novel.
